About Me
I have 18 years’ experience of working as a humanistic/integrative therapist. I am a generic counsellor but have worked widely with trauma and abuse issues; including domestic/sexual violence, rape, childhood sexual abuse and wider interpersonal issues and mental health concerns.
I have worked with a variety of organisations and in private practice. I am the founder of the women’s specialist domestic/sexual violence counselling service at Solace Women’s Aid in north London which I managed for 6 years. I have worked as a therapist on the ‘Lifer’ wing of Holloway prison and have worked with a wide cross section of clients both male and female in a criminal justice context. A lot of my work is about facing, coping with and ultimately accepting loss in many different forms.
Currently within my practice I work with individuals as well as organisations supporting on a variety of personal and work-place issues. I work within the charity sector with staff who deal with trauma and clients who are immensely vulnerable. I offer clinical supervision to therapists and non-therapeutic front line workers. I work with adult women and men.
